We’re recruiting for a Deputy Manager to oversee cleaning operations across a number of client sites, supporting the delivery of high-quality services while driving continuous improvement.



This is a varied and evolving role, offering genuine opportunities for growth, additional training, and progression across wider areas and contracts.

Job Description

As Deputy Manager, you’ll take a hands-on approach to leadership—ensuring safety, compliance, and service standards are consistently met, while motivating and developing your team.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support cleaning operatives to meet high service standards.
Conduct regular quality checks and ensure compliance with site specifications.
Manage cleaning assets, equipment, and stock control across multiple locations.
Motivate and develop the team to promote a positive and efficient working environment.
Provide weekly reports on attendance, absences, and overtime.
Uphold health, safety, and welfare responsibilities as per ISS policy.
Plan and deliver induction training for new team members.
Conduct regular training reviews and maintain up-to-date development plans.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Proven experience managing and developing teams, preferably in a facilities or cleaning services environment.
Knowledge and understanding of health and safety procedures.
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in reporting, compliance, and basic financial administration.
