Working hours: 35 hours per week (Tuesday - Saturday)Interview Date: To be confirmedMold Salvation Army operates a busy charity shop & coffee shop, which works to meet the needs of the local community and to raise funds for the work of the Salvation Army in the local area. We are looking to appoint an experienced Charity Shop Manager to join our team of staff & volunteers. We are seeking someone who will oversee the safe and effective management of the shop and coffee shop & who will work to further the mission of The Salvation Army & contribute to our community in an impactful way.Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities will include ensuring the highest standards of customer care, managing the daily operation of the shop including stock management and shop appearance, assisting with the coffee shop where required, managing the security and accounting of cash, health and safety issues, safeguarding & administrative tasks, and the recruitment, training, management and supervision of volunteers & who will oversee the safe and effective management of the coffee & charity shop.The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:Manage all aspects of the operational activities of the shop, ensuring that sales revenues are maximised and mission related objectives are successfully achievedLead and set by example, the delivery of a culture of excellent customer service to deliver both sales and missional objectives and encourage repeat customPrevious experience in a retail environment and in managing volunteers and staff of all backgrounds & needsProven interpersonal skillsGood IT skillsAn ability to work on their own initiative and in a teamA commitment to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation ArmyPrioritising to a high standardIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UKFor details of how to prove your right to work in the UK please click here and please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship.
