Summary
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role you will be working 1-1 with a client in her own home in Falmouth. Supporting with Personal care, maintaining habitable home, shopping, companionship, meal prep, managing diaries and supporting with paperwork.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Support our client in her own home ensuring their comfort and safety.
Communicate effectively with our client, and her family, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and needs.
Implement care plan as directed, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and timely.
Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Drive to client locations as required, ensuring safe transportation while adhering to all road safety regulations.
Complete accurate notes on mobile app in a timely fashion (can connect to client Wi-Fi)
Requirements
Previous experience in care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence is advantageous.
Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of clients at all times.
Every other weekend plus evenings during the week. (some mornings may be available to cover sickness and holidays.)
Shift patterns are:
7am - 2pm
2pm - 10pm
