Summary
The Role:
• To provide support and assistance to a lady with Cerebral Palsy who is an extremely outgoing and friendly person. She also works and requires some flexibility in her support to manage her work and home life.
• A Self-Employed Personal Assistant is needed to help me live my life the way I choose. Getting the right assistance when I need it allows me to lead my life independently. A Personal Assistant will enable me to do this by listening to what I want and need. It is therefore vital that my PA has good communication and listening skills.
• The job involves assistance with a variety of tasks. Like most people, my days can vary so it is difficult to list every task that is expected of a Personal Assistant.
Main Duties:
• Accompany on trips out in the community such as going to the shops
Support with socialising in the community
• Assist me with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning and planning meals
• Assist me to achieve my fitness goals, including swimming and physio exercises
• Accompany me to local events
• Accompany me to appointments e.g. GP and dentist.
• Assistance to help me plan my days and set targets
• Assist me to monitor and manage money and bills
• Some help with dressing and personal care
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Reliability and trustworthiness
• Friendly and easy-going
• Sensitive to my needs
• Punctual
• High level of motivation
• Enjoys swimming
• Driving licence with business insurance
• Own car essential (note, I am a wheelchair user and can’t transfer into higher wheel-based cars)

Pay: £16.00 per hour Self – Employed
Mileage Paid at 0.45 pence per mile for my trips
