Search is proud to be recruiting for a fantastic new opportunity on behalf of our client in Barnsley. We're looking for experienced Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join a leading and respected waste management company. This is a temp-to-perm role offering long-term stability and excellent working conditions.
Key Details:
Start Date: September 2025
Hourly Rate: £14.43
Overtime: Time and a half paid after 14:30
Start Times: 05:30 AM or 06:00 AM
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
Carry out commercial waste collections from local businesses
Operate Class 2 refuse vehicles safely and efficiently
Navigate tight spaces with care and attention
Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate logs
Work closely with loaders and the wider team
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum 2 years' HGV Class 2 driving experience
Strong awareness of safety and a proactive attitude
Good communication and teamwork skills
