We are recruiting for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients
Lister Hospital is home to two state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheter Labs, offering a full range of interventional procedures and device implantations. We are committed to continually expanding our services and advancing the scope of practice to enhance both our physiologists' roles and patient care experience.
Our current invasive physiology team is small but dynamic & growing. The team includes three accredited Band 7 Physiologists, two Band 6 Physiologists in training, three Band 5 Physiologists gaining experience across all aspects of invasive cardiology, two apprentices, and one team member pursuing the equivalence pathway for registration. We actively encourage and support all invasive Physiologists to achieve device-based accreditation.

A Recruitment and Retention package of 12.5% is offered for this position.
Promote high standards of professional practice and high quality care and delivery within Trust and department following departmental policies, protocols and guidelines.
Demonstrate established clinical skills and knowledge in caring for cardiology patients.
Be a competent practitioner in invasive cardiology, able to independently perform routine and complex diagnostic invasive procedures and ambulatory cardiac investigations without supervision.
Supervise and train other cardiac physiologists
Monitor and maintain quality of services within invasive cardiology & device management.
Willingness to develop further specialist and advanced practical skills.
Assist in managing resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring the smooth running of a quality service.
To actively encourage and develop a multidisciplinary approach to cardiac care.
To maintain an interest in the profession, and knowledge of new techniques and protocols; attending courses where necessary, in line with the services demands.
Remain professional at all times, liaise with other clinical teams and maintain good public relations on a one to one basis with the general public and other interest groups.
Demonstrates empathy when dealing with patients in distressing conditions
