Therapy Technician within Adult Therapy Services

Band 3

Hours: 37.5

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our medical respiratory/ rehabilitation team based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

Therapy Technicians work alongside Occupational Therapists & Physiotherapists to support the delivery of effective treatment and rehabilitation plans to enable patients to recover from illness and injury and be safely discharged from hospital.



Working as part of an integrated medical team this role involves working with patients with a range of problems and conditions in an acute hospital setting. This includes working with patients with complex frailty, acute and general medical conditions including, respiratory,dementia, those who have fallen, and those with cognitive impairment. There will also be some administrative tasks as part of the role.



The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience of working as part of a team, and great time management skills. Understanding the roles of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy in an acute hospital setting should be demonstrated in your application form and experience of working in a healthcare setting is essential.

The post holder will need to contribute to a six day service working one weekend in four. You will also contribute to a bank holiday service.
