A bit about me:
I am a 52 year old female. I live at home with my husband and a new puppy. I would like to be able to get out in the community more often to help with my social needs. I am a very social person who enjoys swimming a few times a week in my local hydrotherapy swimming pool. I enjoy going to the cinema, making jewellery, reading and clothes shopping.

About the role:
The tasks that I need supporting with include support whilst showering and getting dressed, general housework which includes hoovering, dusting and washing and support with prepping meals.

The tasks will also include driving me to my local swimming pool and being in the pool with me for support. I use a lightweight electric wheelchair and I will need support managing this.

I will require support with personal care. It is requested that the applicant
be Female due to the role involving personal, intimate care. For this reason, it is exempt
under the general occupational requirement section of the Equality Act 2010.

The kind of person I am looking for:
I’m looking for someone who is friendly, has a flexible approach, approachable, and most importantly, has a great sense of humour. An interest in swimming would be a plus — while you won’t need to swim with me, you will need to be comfortable being in the water to offer support. It would also be wonderful if you enjoy gardening, as it’s something I’m passionate about. Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in care work and be trained in first aid.
