Location: Southport
Salary: £25.42 per hour = £58160.96
Hours: 44 hours per week - primarily supernumerary
Shifts: 8am - 8pm, with some weekends and rota-based on-call included
About the Role of Deputy Nursing Home Manager:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced RGN or RMN to join our team as Deputy Home Manager in a well-established, supportive care home environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinically strong, team-focused nurse to step into a leadership role while maintaining a healthy work-life balance in a largely supernumerary position.
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, providing clinical oversight, mentoring the nursing and care team, and ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Nursing Home Manager:
Provide clinical leadership and support to the care team
Assist with staff supervision, appraisals, and ongoing development
Ensure safe medication management and accurate care planning
Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance
Be part of the weekend rota and on-call support as required
What We're Looking For in the Deputy Nursing Home Manager:
A valid NMC pin (RGN or RMN)
Previous experience in a senior nurse or deputy role within a care home setting
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A compassionate, proactive approach to care delivery
Strong understanding of CQC standards and clinical governance
