Summary

Goods In & Out Operative
Location: Blackburn
Salary: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour
Job Type: Full time (12-week temp to perm) – immediate starts available
Expected Hours: 40 per week. Shifts are typically allocated between the hours of 7am – 5pm, typically working 8 hours per day. Overtime may be available in busier periods.

The company continues to grow rapidly due to strong customer demand and a commitment to consistent product excellence. **Please note that this role is a dual role for duties of both Warehouse & FLT Counterbalance – adaptability to conduct both roles required**

Position Summary
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Goods In & Out Operative to support day-to-day logistics and materials handling on-site. This role plays a key part in the business’s production flow, ensuring smooth operations through accurate and efficient movement of goods.

Candidate Requirements
• Current FLT Counterbalance licence required. RTITB / ITSAAR / BRITTOp preferred, certification issued within the past 2 years.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or logistics environment preferred
• Comfortable with physical duties including heavy lifting and moving materials
• Experience with goods-in/goods-out processes advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Carry out manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Operate forklifts to move stock safely and efficiently (valid FLT licence required)
• Inspect deliveries for damage, discrepancies, or shortages, and escalate issues accordingly
• Keep the working area clean, tidy, and well-organised to support operational efficiency
• Ensure that goods leaving the site are properly packaged, labelled, and documented
• Liaise with internal departments to coordinate dispatch schedules and inventory movements
• Adhere to all site health & safety regulations and company procedures
