We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in both modern and traditional upholstery techniques for our client.
What You’ll Do
• Upholster high-end, custom furniture to the highest standards of craftsmanship
• Read and interpret upholstery specifications and technical drawings
• Use industrial sewing machines, staple guns, cutting tools, and other upholstery equipment safely and effectively
• Accurately measure, cut, and fit fabric and padding materials
• Perform frame preparation, webbing, springing, stuffing, and final covering
• Ensure all work meets quality and design standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional upholstery experience
• Proficiency with sewing machines and other upholstery tools
• Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
• Good physical fitness: ability to lift, carry, bend, and stand for long periods
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Strong technical knowledge of upholstery methods, materials, and equipment
