Summary
We are looking for despatch operative to join our client based in Welwyn Garden City.
Main responsibilities:
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure that all items are correctly labeled and packaged to prevent damage during transit.
Maintain accurate data entry for all shipping and receiving activities.
Assist in loading and unloading deliveries and shipments.
Prepare shipping documents, including labels, packing lists, and any necessary customs paperwork.
Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to the inventory manager.
Assist in the organization and maintenance of the despatch area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Perform quality checks to ensure all orders are complete and meet company standards before dispatch.
Report any product defects or issues to the supervisor immediately.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that all procedures are followed to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred
Valid forklift license
Basic computer skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Full training will be provided.
