Summary

Working hours: 40 hours per week - Shift pattern applies with evenings and weekend workingInterview Date: To be confirmedThe Salvation Army has been awarded a contract in Cardiff to support 106 young people in Cardiff who are experiencing homelessness. The contract works within a psychologically informed framework that includes delivering zero evictions within the lifehouses and offering post resettlement support to allow the young person to positively settle and move into independent living.We are looking to recruit a Day Concierge who will be the first point of contact for everyone accessing our Lifehouse. This role requires a friendly, approachable person who will be pivotal in ensuring our vision for high-quality person-centred support is delivered.Key Responsibilities:Understand and work within the Mission and Values of The Salvation Army always acting in a professional and ethical way when representing the organisation.Offer front of house service to clients/visitors ensuring they are signed in or out where required and their queries are handled in a professional friendly manner, referring them to the relevant person where required.Handle all incoming telephone calls and mail appropriately.To use a CCTV system in line with policy.Work as part of overall team to ensure the most positive experience in NorthlandsThe successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clientsMotivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomesAble to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation ArmyGood customer service and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloadThe ability to successfully work independently and within a team environment.Able to work in a busy environment and be solution focused.In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check of the Adult workforce and an Enhanced DBS with Barred List check of the Child Workforce.
