Food Service Assistant –CITB, Erith, Kent
Weare seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join ourteam at CITB in Erith, Kent. In this role, you will support the smooth deliveryof catering services, including the preparation, presentation, and service offood and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, stockrotation, and cash handling. You will also assist in the upkeep and maintenanceof vending machines, ensuring high service levels are consistently delivered inline with company standards and contract specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with thepreparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to company standards.
- Providecustomer service, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, operating tills, and supporting client hospitality.
- Maintaincleanliness and hygiene standards, including cleaning equipment, dining areas, and kitchen facilities, following cleaning schedules.
- Managestock and supplies, including loading service counters, filling and cleaning vending machines, ordering stores, and rotating stock.
- Supportteam operations, attending training, assisting at special functions, covering for colleagues, and promoting harmonious working relationships.
- Report and respond tocustomer feedback, incidents, and irregularities, ensuring safety and high service standards at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Food Safety Certificateand strong knowledge ofFood Hygiene Standards.
- Provencustomer service experience, ideally in acatering or hospitality environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skillswith customers, clients, and colleagues at all levels.
- Goodnumerical and verbal literacy, with effectivetime managementandflexibilityin work approach.
- Experience working in astandards- and compliance-driven environment.
