Summary

Electroplater - Visa Sponsorship Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electroplater to join our client's Aircraft Landing Gear Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team. This role is critical in ensuring the surface treatment of aircraft landing gear components meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and durability.

Role Responsibilities will include:

  • Proven ability to understand and interpret process standard practices, drawings and Company Job cards.
  • Previous experience to undertake Material Handling to include workshop Gantry cranes and slings.
  • Previous experience in preparation of parts for electroplating (Masking techniques etc.)
  • Previous experience to undertake surface preparation by Grit Blasting techniques would be an advantage but not essential.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in a range of the following electroplating processes:

  • Cadmium Plate and Dalic Cadmium plate
  • Nickel plating
  • Hard Chrome plating
  • Alocrom
  • Nital etch (Acid Etch inspection)
  • Heat Treatment of components
  • Ability to complete work in a manner that satisfies Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • A good understanding of environmental issues associated with Electroplating Industry.
  • Previous Knowledge of information related to the COMAH would be an advantage although training will be given to the successful candidate

Skills and Experience required:

  • To have worked within a Plating shop environment
  • Have a basic understanding of Processes and procedures associated with Electroplating.
  • Experience of working in a EASA 145 environment.
  • Able to communicate with all levels of Management.
  • Willingness to learn new skills to help the Company achieve its targets.

Details:

  • 4 on 4 off shift pattern - must be available to work weekends as shift pattern will fall on weekends occasionally.
