Summary
THE COMPANY
Are you a Paralegal with at least 12 months of experience, a Legal Assistant with conveyancing expertise, or an experienced Legal Secretary seeking a new opportunity? If so, we would love to hear from you. Our client, a well-respected legal practice based in Walsall, is looking to recruit a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to join their Residential Development department. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and professional team environment.
THE ROLE
In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Solicitor to support residential property development transactions. Your duties will include:
• Drafting legal documentation, such as contracts and leases.
• Managing the conveyancing process for residential developments.
• Maintaining accurate and organised files, records, and correspondence relating to transactions.
• Undertaking legal research, including case law, legislation, and property development procedures.
• Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction progression.
• Assisting fee earners with administrative and legal tasks, including document preparation and file management.
• Ensuring all required paperwork is prepared accurately and efficiently in line with set deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal case management systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
• Previous experience in residential conveyancing or property transactions, ideally within a residential development setting.
• Studying towards or completion of a legal qualification (CILEx, LPC, SQE) would be advantageous, though applications from experienced Legal Secretaries are equally welcomed.
• Sound understanding of property law and conveyancing processes, combined with commercial awareness and client confidentiality.

• Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break (35 hours per week).
