With a strong ethos and a commitment to continuous improvement, this is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced Shift Production Manager to join a business that’s always looking ahead.
In this key leadership role, you’ll be responsible for the performance, safety, and standards across your shift. You’ll lead a dedicated team, drive operational excellence, and play a vital role in shaping the future of the site. This is more than just a production role - it’s a chance to mentor, innovate, and make a real impact.
The Production Shift Manager you will be getting involved in…
• Leading your shift to meet production targets while maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and cost control
• Coaching and developing your supervisory team to foster a high-performing, motivated workforce
• Driving continuous improvement in waste reduction, efficiency, and GMP compliance
• Managing people performance, including absence, discipline, and succession planning
• Ensuring accurate documentation and audit readiness across all production activities
• Collaborating with engineering and quality teams to support product launches and resolve issues
• Championing a culture of safety, food safety, and operational excellence
• Supporting the implementation of new systems, processes, and technologies
What we’re looking for:
• Previous experience in a Production Manager / Shift Manager role within the food manufacturing sector.
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Food Safety and HACCP qualifications (minimum Level 3)
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
• A solid understanding of cost drivers, compliance, and best practice manufacturing
The application process:
Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce. We are committed to providing a barrier-free recruitment process, so if you require any reasonable accessibility adjustments within the application process, then please make it known at the earliest opportunity.
We will carefully consider your details and advise you if we're able to progress with your application within 72 working hours.
