Summary
Main Purpose of the Role:
Support mechanical installation activities as part of a site-based team.
Report to the Site Supervisor or Chargehand, depending on deployment.
Maintain a strong duty of care for personal safety and the safety of others on site at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere to all applicable QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) procedures as outlined during site induction.
Perform duties within your competence to the required quality and industry standards, as directed by the Site Supervisor.
Work within the timescales set by the Work Party Leader and proactively communicate any potential delays.
Key Objectives
Follow all site rules as briefed by the Chargehand, Site Supervisor, or Site Manager.
Comply with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Plans, and understand your responsibilities in each area. Assist in creating required documentation in line with project milestones.
Actively contribute to the completion of all allocated task cards within the required timescales and ensure timely submission of timesheets and expenses.
Experience Required
Apprentice-trained with a minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent City & Guilds qualification) and at least 1 year of relevant experience; or
Industry-recognised training with a minimum of 2 years' experience on construction sites in sectors such as electricity supply, power generation, oil & gas, or general construction.
Familiarity with health, safety, quality, and environmental practices within substation environments (e.g., National Grid, SSE, SPEN).

Rates and compensation:
Top market rates on offer for this particular client, with overtime rates in place for weekend work. Able to discuss this further at registration phase.
