Job Purpose & Summary
To support the Service Manager in overseeing the effective delivery of the Drug & Alcohol service, ensuring it meets contractual requirements and service specifications. The Deputy Manager will manage an agreed number of staff, volunteers, and students within the locality, and contribute to developing a recovery orientated, evidence based, and outcome focused workforce. Working closely with the Service Manager, the Deputy Manager will provide day-to-day operational oversight and demonstrate initiative in decision making, particularly in the Manager’s absence. A key aspect of the role is to contribute to the development of a high performing team within a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

What you need

– Proven experience in the substance misuse field, preferably in a line management role
– Accomplished written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of personal IT competency.
– Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team
– Ability to liaise and work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and agencies to support client’s engagement
– Have a clear understanding of, and a commitment to safeguarding best practice.
– A commitment to multi-agency working, and be able to work in partnership with other agencies within the treatment system to achieve good outcomes for clients.
