We are looking for committed and compassionate professionals to join our team, who share our enthusiasm for changing lives.About the Service - Housing & Homelessness ServicesHarbour View is a 9 bed supported accommodation service for young people aged 16-25 who have experienced homelessness. This role is ideal for a support worker who is happy to support young people and give advice, sharing best practice where required, to ensure all young people living at Harbour View receive the high level of support they deserve. A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. You can make a difference and support people on their journey towards a brighter future. At Changing Lives, we offer a home rather than just a shelter.About the JobMaintain records that are accurate and of a good standard.Prepare short reports when required.To work with our people, we support and other recognised people such as family members and/or other professionals to meet agreed goals. Supporting people to make best use of local services and amenities to meet their identified needs. Assist clients to access personal development opportunities. Support service users in maintaining good health and hygiene skills, to promote independence within their own living environments. Provide and support our people to participate in daily/weekly activities. Engaging the people we support into internal and external activities Participate in training, supervision and team meetings. Support management in the delivery of a service that meets quality standard and good practice protocol. To undertake any other duties that may be seen to fall into the job responsibilities.
