Summary

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Professional Regulatory Body in London in their search for an interim Regulatory Officer to join the Authorisations Team.



This is a great opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to support risk and evidence-based authorisation of applications while contributing to clearing a significant caseload backlog.



As a Regulatory Officer - you will interpret complex information, assess risk, and ensure policies are implemented in line with established guidelines. You will deal with telephone and email queries relating to authorisation activity, identify information required to facilitate robust reporting and draft high-quality decisions. You will be comfortable making decisions and advising stakeholders on outcomes (both positive and negative) while applying sound judgement and following clear criteria.



The successful applicant will have strong experience in Case Management and/or Investigations across the Legal, Regulatory or Membership Sectors. You will have strong experience gathering and interpreting information as well as assessing risk (while applying a decision-making framework) to inform and draft high-quality decisions. You will have excellent communication (written and verbal), attention to details and IT literacy skills, with the ability to prioritise work effectively. You will be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications, plus case management or customer relationship software.

Job Title: Regulatory Officer

Location: Hybrid (4 days per month in the London Office)

Annual Salary: £40,445 (Circa)

Hours: Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 month)





Key Responsibilities

· Prioritise and assess authorisation applications in line with regulatory and KPI timescales.

· Assimilate information and evidence from individual cases to reach decisions based on guidance and criteria.

· Communicate decision outcomes to stakeholders confidently and sensitively.

· Handle telephone and email queries relating to authorisations.

· Maintain accurate records, databases, and reporting systems.

· Draft high-quality written decisions and recommendations.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and robust decision-making.

· Assist with process improvements and contribute to team initiatives.





Candidate Profile

· Proven experience within a regulatory, legal, or membership-based environment (or strong case management experience).

· Ability to assess and analyse information using a decision-making framework.

· Confident making decisions and communicating outcomes to diverse audiences.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and case management/CRM software.

· Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Knowledge of professional regulation or legal frameworks (desirable).

· Law graduates with relevant experience will also be considered.
