SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant – Bilston
Looking to build experience supporting young people with special educational needs? This hands-on role in a ‘Good’ secondary school in Bilston gives you the chance to make a real impact.
*** SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
*** September 2025 – July 2026
*** £85 - £100 per day
*** ‘Good’ Secondary School, Bilston
*** Support students with a range of SEN – Autism, EBD, ASD, ADHD
The Role
You’ll work closely with the school’s SEN team to support students aged 11–16 who need additional help to access learning. That includes 1:1 classroom support, helping manage behaviour and anxiety, and running small group interventions in areas like literacy, social skills and emotional regulation.
This is a challenging but rewarding role that gives you direct insight into inclusive education and child psychology.
The Candidate
You’ll need strong communication skills, resilience, and a calm, patient approach. A background in psychology, youth work or any previous SEN experience (even informally) will be a major plus. Ideal for graduates exploring careers in education, mental health or therapy.
The School
This is a well-led, inclusive secondary school in Bilston with a strong pastoral ethos. Staff work closely with families and external agencies, and SEN support is a key part of their provision. You’ll be well supported and part of a collaborative team that puts student wellbeing first.
Excellent foundation for careers in teaching, psychology or social care.
