Summary

The Housekeeping Assistant role has responsibility for ensuring both our front and back of house areas and auditorium are cleaned to a highly professional standard and in line with all regulations. You will play an integral part in providing a first class experience for all our visitors and colleagues who use The Rep facilities.

We are looking to recruit for two positions:

06:30-09:30 Monday – Saturday. Involves working as part of the team readying our building for the day’s activities.

15:00-21:30 x 3 days per week. Involves working alongside the customer service team looking after our public spaces during performances.

As a Housekeeping Assistant at The Rep, you will play a vital role in ensuring our venue is welcoming, clean, and safe for all visitors, staff, and performers. Your day-to-day duties will include maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the building (including backstage, front of house, and meeting rooms), and supporting the general upkeep and presentation of the venue. Working closely with other departments, you will help deliver an exceptional visitor experience while ensuring all areas are well-maintained, stocked, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and experience working in a cleaning or customer-facing environment. They will be a team player with a strong work ethic, able to manage your time effectively and take pride in delivering high standards. Honesty, reliability, and a professional attitude are essential, along with the flexibility to adapt to different tasks and shifts. Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work under pressure, are also crucial in helping to maintain the high-quality environment expected at The Rep.
