Join Our Team as a Skilled TIG Welder!

Are you an experienced TIG Welder with a passion for precision, quality, and craftsmanship? We're looking for a motivated individual to join our growing manufacturing team in Solihull. You'll play a vital role in producing high-quality welded assemblies across a range of materials, contributing to a collaborative and safety-focused production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weld components to a high standard using TIG processes, particularly on aluminium and stainless steel.


  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to complete tasks accurately.


  • Adhere to all welding procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.


  • Maintain welding jigs, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a smooth production flow.


  • Work independently or collaboratively to meet daily and weekly production targets.


  • Support 5S and continuous improvement activities across the shop floor.


    What We’re Looking For: Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong TIG welding ability (especially aluminium and stainless steel)


    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality


    • Clear communication and good teamwork skills


    • Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset


    • Focused on health & safety in a manufacturing environment


      Experience:
      • Essential:

        • Time-served TIG welding experience


        • Confident working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium



        • Desirable:

          • Fabrication/fitting experience


          • Exposure to lean manufacturing practices



            Qualifications:
            • Essential:

              • GCSEs in Maths and English



              • Desirable:

                • BS 4872 welding certification


                • Abrasive wheels (for tungsten grinding)


                • Lean or 5S training


                • Welding/fabrication-related training
