Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data expert to join the Gloucestershire Constabulary to work within the Performance, Quality and Business Intelligence department to help the Constabulary best understand and direct its operational resources.

The post holder will be required to learn about new data analytical products used within the policing environment and to apply these to multiple data sources and numerous IT systems. Policing is a complex environment with many competing areas of demand and it is vital that we can understand these and ensure that we are able to meet the need via the resources that we have. We need to understand where demand is greatest, how this manifests in terms of officer time and consequently, where and when staff are best placed to meet this need - immediately as well as in the longer term via analysis and forecasting.

You will work closely with the Performance team to utilise data as well as with operational staff to understand local pressures and, help to shape a system that enables the organisation to work to best effect. You will need to be highly proficient in data analysis, with a strong data background and the drive and proven ability to translate this into practice.

Please note - this role now falls under the Performance, Quality and Business Intelligence department. The department name has since changed from what is stated above (Analysis Research & Planning)

If you have any questions regarding the role, please email Resourcing (Recruitment@gloucestershire.police.uk) who will forward your email to the Hiring Manager.

The closing date is 6th August 23:55pm
