Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated individual as Examinations Officer to join our Support Staff team. We are looking for a candidate who can work flexibly and proactively within a very important role in school. The Examinations Officer role is to support an efficient and effective examinations process for the school.
With a strong school administrative background, the model candidate will ideally have previously carried out a Lead Exams Invigilator role or the work undertaken by an Examinations Assistant or is an Examinations Officer looking for their next challenge.
This rewarding post will contribute to the overall school plan and the successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that all school examinations are carried out in accordance with the appropriate regulations.
The Role:
* Ensuring the smooth running of examinations and exam related functions.
* To build and maintain the school examination timetable, ensuring all students and staff are aware of any updated information in a swift manner.
* Ensuring correct exam entries are in place in advance of deadlines.
* Managing a team of invigilators during school wide examinations.
* Arranging external examinations and assessment for various vocational courses.
* Use of SIMS Course Data Manager software to cross-reference student courses and exam entries.
* A willingness to support with the access arrangements procedures for students as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience of the Examinations Officer and/or Administrator role/or Lead Examinations Invigilator role.
* Strong communication skills both with adults and students.
* Possess the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
* Be highly organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
* Have genuine passion and a belief in the potential of every student.
