Summary
Yard Operative / Forklift Driver - East Kilbride
Location: East Kilbride Depot
Pay Rate: Competitive - please state your expected hourly rate when applying
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30 (1-hour unpaid break, 42.5 hours per week)
Contract Type: Temporary (12 weeks) to Permanent
We're currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / Forklift Driver for a busy depot in East Kilbride. This full-time, long-term role has the potential to become permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift to load/unload materials
- Yard duties including stock movement, site maintenance, and manual handling
- Checking deliveries and following health & safety procedures
- Working as part of a small, friendly team
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Previous experience in a similar yard, warehouse, or construction environment
- Reliable, physically fit, and able to work outdoors
- Strong communication skills
