Summary

Commercial Catering Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to join our growing team, servicing and maintaining a range of commercial catering equipment across Kent and Brighton. The ideal candidate will hold valid COMCAT 1, 3, and 5 certifications and have a strong background in gas catering equipment diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair commercial catering equipment in restaurants, schools, hotels, and other foodservice sites.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults on a wide range of gas and electric catering appliances.

  • Carry out preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown visits.

  • Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in line with Gas Safe and industry regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of work completed using job management software.

  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • COMCAT 1, 3, and 5 (must be up to date).

  • Proven experience as a commercial catering engineer.

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently across a wide geographical area.

Desirable

  • F-Gas Certification (not essential but advantageous).

  • Electrical qualifications (17th/18th Edition).

  • Experience with combination ovens, dishwashers, and refrigeration equipment.
