About the Role
Nottingham City Libraries are seeking to recruit a Saturday Library Customer Advisor. We’re looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who loves helping others and who would welcome the chance to inspire people to read, learn and enjoy culture.
As a Library Customer Service Advisor, no two days would be the same. Our libraries offer a wide range of services and you will make sure that everyone’s experience with us is a positive one. You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, energetic and proactive in looking for ways to develop and improve library services and outcomes for customers. You will also be committed to supporting the delivery of arts, cultural and learning services delivered through libraries.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to deliver high level customer service to a wide range of citizens
- Ability and aptitude to work with others as part of a team
- An ability to use information technology as applied in the workplace
- Ability to work flexibly
- Commitment to services public libraries offer and an enthusiasm for promoting them
- This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
