Job Title: Head of Supply Chain
Location: South of England (including Battersea and Worcester)
Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Bonus
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Supply Chain to lead and optimise our supply chain operations across our
fast-paced, multi-site chilled and frozen food distribution business.
This role is initially focused on the H&B sites – primarily in the South of England (including Battersea and Worcester) – with the
potential to expand responsibility to Crewe in the future.
You will oversee all aspects of Logistics, Warehousing, Stock Replenishment, and Fleet/Transport Management, ensuring operational
efficiency, high service levels, cost control, and full compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
* Develop and execute a robust supply chain strategy aligned with wider business goals
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives that drive performance, service and cost reduction
* Manage budgets and KPIs across all functions
* Build and lead a high-performing, multi-site supply chain team
* Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and ongoing development
Logistics, Transport & Fleet
* Oversee inbound and outbound logistics across regional, national and international networks
* Lead fleet and transport operations, ensuring compliance with all legal and temperature-controlled delivery requirements
* Build and manage strong relationships with 3PL providers and service partners
* Monitor key logistics KPIs including cost per mile, delivery performance, and vehicle utilisation
Warehousing
* Manage multi-site warehouse operations with a focus on layout, labour efficiency, and stock accuracy
* Ensure capacity planning meets business and seasonal demands
* Maintain high hygiene and BRC standards across all warehouse operations
* Drive efficiency through the use of WMS and other automation tools
Stock Replenishment & Inventory
* Lead the development of accurate forecasting and demand planning processes
* Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Commercial to ensure stock levels meet demand
* Maintain strong stock control systems and implement regular cycle counts
* Set and review stockholding targets in line with business requirements
Compliance, Food Safety & Health & Safety
* Ensure full compliance with BRC, HACCP, GMP and all food safety regulations
* Maintain site accreditations and lead audits and corrective actions
* Champion a proactive health & safety culture across all supply chain operations
What We're Looking For
Knowledge & Experience
* Extensive leadership experience in a multi-site, temperature-controlled food distribution business
* Strong knowledge of chilled/frozen logistics and food safety compliance
* Proven track record of managing warehousing, transport, and inventory at scale
* Hands-on experience with fleet operations and transport compliance
* Skilled in managing supplier/3PL relationships and contract negotiation

* Strong leadership and team development capabilities
* Strategic mindset with strong commercial and operational planning skills
* Data-driven decision-making with the ability to problem-solve under pressure
