Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) / Estimator to join our clients team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in both the preparation of accurate cost estimates and ensuring quality standards are maintained across projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control and quality assurance measures, along with the ability to analyse project specifications and requirements to support successful project execution.
Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Conduct thorough analyses of materials, equipment, and overhead costs to provide accurate pricing.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals for compliance with quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates for management review.
- Assist in the development of cost control and quality assurance strategies to optimise project budgets and outcomes.
- Participate in site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to identify, report, and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure adherence to company and industry QC procedures, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
Experience
- Strong understanding of cost control and quality control principles and practices.
- Familiarity with quality standards and inspection procedures relevant to construction or engineering projects.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
