Summary

Role
We are looking for a qualified solicitor/fellow of CILEX to join our busy commercial property team who will undertake a varied caseload of commercial property transactions and projects for all Council departments and external clients. All staff in legal services are currently required to attend our offices in Stafford at least once a week or more frequently if there is a business need to do so.
Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- undertaking routine to moderately complex commercial conveyancing transactions including sales, purchases, leases and licences
- provide support for senior team members in relation to large or complex transactions
- providing general legal advice on property matters including legal research and title due diligence
- supervision of other junior members of the team
- adhering to the Legal Services Unit’s LEXCEL quality standards
- providing assistance with the drafting of Committee reports.
We are looking for a qualified Solicitor/fellow of CILEX or Barrister with commercial property experience (within either the public sector and/or private practice), with an ability to work independently and as part of a team, who has strong communication and excellent organisational skills and who lives within a commutable distance of our offices in Stafford.
