Summary
We’re opening a new Dental Education Practice in Plymouth City Centre later this year, and we’re looking for Dental Administrators to join our team!
Initially working in our Plymouth Dental Education Facilities in Derriford and Devonport for training purposes, you will transfer to our new Dental Education Practice (DEP) in Plymouth City Centre when this opens in Autumn 2025. The DEP will provide an innovative model of care comprising urgent and stabilisation dental care, and general and specialist dentistry delivered alongside placements for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as trainees undertaking dental foundation training.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual whose duties will include dealing with patients and students both face-to-face and on the phone, reception, filing and general administration duties. Dental Administrators are required to provide high-quality telephone call-handling, reception, and appointment service. Dental Administrators also assist professional staff with clerical and administrative duties and support the organisation in ensuring that the DEP is efficiently organised.
This post contains a range of duties requiring a variety of skills. The post involves liaising with professionals in healthcare, facilities, support staff and members of the public as well as Peninsula Dental School Staff, PDSE Staff and Dental Students. Dental Administrators must be excellent communicators, both verbally and in writing. It’s essential that the Dental Administrators also have good computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
These roles include:
Full time contracts, working 37.5 hours per week, with a starting salary of £25,537.
6.6 weeks holiday entitlement (pro rata), increasing after 5 years’ service. Payment for holiday is included within the annual salary. We also offer a holiday purchase scheme where you can buy up to two additional weeks holiday each year.
Support with your learning and development, including access to online CPD platforms plus additional CPD at our two company Away Days each year. Our Learning & Development Framework may also inspire you to consider further career development.
Access to the Scottish Widows Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions.
Free uniform
Parking available within walking distance of the Practice
Support for your wellbeing, including access to our Employee Assistance Programme, as well as our new Health Plan where you can claim money back towards certain health expenses, and access gym discounts and more.
Access to our Cycle to Work Scheme which operates via salary sacrifice
Opportunities to share your skills, knowledge, and experience to help shape the future of dentistry
Opportunities to contribute to company development through our dedicated ‘team talk’ channels
