About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and trustworthy Finance and Administration Officer to support the financial health and administrative operations of our organisation. This is a key role that ensures smooth financial processes and confidential handling of sensitive information. This job exists in order to support the day to day financial processing, accounting and admin functions of the charity
Responsibilities of the Role
• Timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices
• Timely and accurate processing of fees invoices to clients
• Ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and accounted for accurately
• Accurate recording of grant income and expenditure
• Preparation of payroll information on a monthly basis
• Prepare payments for authorisation
• Dealing with suppliers and staff on any queries raised
• Creating and processing journal entries as appropriate.
• Banking / cash handling
• Meeting deadlines for month-end reporting.
• Any other duties as required for the smooth running of the finance and admin functions
Essential Requirements
We are seeking a Finance and Admin officer with
• Experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Strong organisational skills
• Effective team working
• The ability to maintain clear and accurate records using Microsoft Office
• Excellent Excel skills, including use of formulas
• Willingness and ability to maintain confidentiality
