Summary
Assist registered nurse to deliver high standards of holistic patient care which ensures privacy and dignity are maintained at all times. This includes supporting hygiene needs, nutrition, mobility, basic nursing care and rehabilitation as indicated within the plan of care and as delegated by the registered nurse. Ensure the clinical area is adequately prepared to receive patients, maintaining standards of cleanliness. Act as a chaperone for patients undergoing examinations and procedures, providing psychological and physical support. Accurately document information relating to patient care as instructed by registered nurse. Observe and report changes in patients condition to the registered nurse. Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
