Staffline is recruiting Despatch Operatives in Avonmouth.
The rate of pay is £15.05 per hour.
This role offers both full and part-time positions, working rotating shifts, 4 on 4 off and the hours of work are:
- 6am to 6pm
- 6pm to 6am
Your Time at Work
As a Despatch Operative you will be responsible for:
- Delivering the best possible service by picking products in the correct date order and to meet customer demand.
- Safe and efficient operation of MHE to support the facilitation of transfer of products from bakery to HGV and back.
- Effectively use the Track and Trace system to christen, putaway, marshall, scrap, stackbuild, open shipment, gate load, close shipment, check demand and resolve errors.
- Effectively use the Put To Light system to pick orders, open/close shipments, import new orders and facilitate end of day closure.
- Ensure baskets are appropriately loaded into de-nester or basket wash and operate.
- Oversee banksman activity onto Bays.
- Oversee and facilitate the call in of vehicles, gate control and trailer checks.
- Generate, print and apply labels.
- Supporting in the effective cleaning and housekeeping standards in alignment with site and customer requirements; ensuring this is maintained across the bakery environment.
- Participate in customer visits and audits as required.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be able to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), e.g., a Forklift Truck and work in either a hot or cold environment. You will show awareness of the importance of health and safety.
Applicants will have a Basic Food Hygiene Certification and experience of working within a despatch or warehouse environment. SHE Level 1 Certification is preferred but full training is provided.
A valid Forklift Truck Licence is required.
