Summary

As a Senior Personal Advisor in the Leaving Care Service, you will work with young people aged 18-25, manage a case load of young adults with more complex needs. Ensuring that they are fully supported to achieve and transition into adulthood in terms of advice, guidance and supporting them as well as mentor and supervise colleagues.

You will hold an allocated caseload of more complex young adults with various needs and signpost and support colleagues with their young adults that are leaving care to access direct appropriate services according to departmental policies and procedures and statutory guidance.

You will work within the Leaving Care team which is part of Bexley’s Looked After Children and Permanence Service. You will also lead, champion and support the Bexley’s vision.

This is a 10 month fixed term opportunity.

Candidate Profile

You will have experience of working with young people in a professional capacity and have an understanding of the challenges facing care leavers as they make the transition to independence. You will also have enthusiasm and creativity in engaging with young people.
