We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Islington, starting September 2025.
Role Details:
- Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
- Location: Islington, North London
- Start Date: September 2025
- Pay: £95 - £115 per day (depending on experience)
About the School:
This is a well-established primary school with over 400 pupils, recently rated GOOD by Ofsted. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and strong community relationships. You will play a vital role in supporting students with SEND to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing tailored support to SEND students to help them access the curriculum
- Assisting with breaktimes, lunchtimes, school trips, and extracurricular activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing through consistent support strategies
- Collaborating with class teachers and specialists to support individual learning plans
What We're Looking For:
- A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for working with SEND pupils
- Previous experience supporting SEND or vulnerable individuals (education, healthcare, social care, or youth work backgrounds are all welcome)
- Strong emotional intelligence, patience, and empathy
