KS1 Teaching Assistant – Primary Role | Supportive Waltham Forest Primary School

This exciting KS1 Teaching Assistant opportunity places you in a friendly and supportive Waltham Forest primary school, where you’ll play a key role in helping pupils develop the foundations for lifelong learning.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting the class teacher in a KS1 setting (Year 1 or Year 2)
• Leading phonics, reading, writing and number activities in small groups
• Providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
• Promoting language development, emotional confidence, and social skills
• Creating engaging learning environments and supporting behaviour expectations
• Assisting with daily routines, class prep, and creative activities
Ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant for This Waltham Forest School:
• Graduate or experienced TA with a passion for early primary education
• Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with young children
• Great communication skills and an encouraging, positive approach
• Any experience in EYFS/KS1, phonics, or child development is highly desirable
• Committed to working full-time from September through July
