Summary
I am supporting a client within the Belfast area, who are looking for an experienced part time Finance assistant to join their team based in Belfast BT7.
There is an element of flexibility within this role, for someone to cover 16-20 hours a week, however, would work best for them, whether 3 full days or 5 shorter days.
The role will be office based at my clients’ modern offices in central Belfast, which has great transport links and ample parking.
The role will involve but will not be limited to:
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for the Leadership Team and Executive Board.
• Assist in the monthly finance pack preparation for the company, meeting tight reporting deadlines.
• Support all finance-related matters for the company ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements and sales tax filings.
• Compile annual accounts with supporting working papers, including draft corporation/income tax calculations.
• Oversee VAT compliance and reporting, in collaboration with the Finance Assistant.
• Prepare the weekly cashflow forecast and assist with the group’s monthly cashflow reporting.
• Manage the credit card and expenses process:
• Monitor weekly credit card balances, flagging cards nearing limits to employees.
• Prepare monthly journals for all credit card and personal expense claims in line with the company expenses policy.
• Maintain the accounts’ receivable function, including:
• Raising and issuing sales invoices.
• Sending statements to customers and addressing issues promptly.
• Responding to customer queries and managing credit control, ensuring all overdue balances are followed up immediately.
• Support the annual insurance renewal process.
• Process weekly payment runs.
