What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an Admin Assistant who is:
• An excellent communicator able to provide a warm, professional welcome to visitors.
• Highly effective in prioritising workload within a busy office environment.
• A fantastic team player with a keen sense of fun and a caring, flexible and friendly approach.
• Experienced in administrative support would be beneficial, including reception duties and pupil welfare.
• Proficient in keyboard skills and able to use IT packages including word processing, excel spreadsheets and presentation software.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Able to respond quickly and effectively to issues that arise. To plan, organise and prioritise to meet deadlines and use your own initiative.
• Committed to maintaining confidentiality at all times and has an understanding of data protection and safeguarding.
• Cheerful and approachable, dealing with difficult situations effectively.
• Holds GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Is a school first aider (or willing to complete training).

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive administrative to the school and PA support to the Headteacher, ensuring efficient management of their time and workload.
• General Administration: Update manual and computerised record/information systems, manage the school’s email inbox, organise forms, handle post and provide administrative support to staff. You will also assist with organising school events and maintain the school website.
• Attendance Administration: Monitor and maintain accurate pupil attendance records and follow up on reasons for non-attendance in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Reception: Act as the first point of contact for all visitors and enquiries, dealing with them efficiently and professionally.
• Safeguarding: Control access to the school, including visitor sign-in and ID checks and report any concerns.
• Written Communication: Write and send professional email responses, update and distribute online and offline communications and assist with admissions and marketing the school alongside the Trust.
• Finance: Enter data into finance systems, collect payments, and carry out financial administration.
