Summary

ABOUT THE JOB:

To lead the management and execution of all creative projects within the Studio, covering storytelling content, special projects, in-person events, internal communication and marketing campaigns. You will turn creative ideas into reality.

This is a Fixed term contract for a minimum of 12 months

Start date: Mid November

Over the past 20 years we have grown from a single bakery in Hampstead to over 170 bakeries across England. What remains exactly as it was on day one however, is our commitment to producing products of exemplary quality, from our loaves to our pastries, sandwiches, cakes and coffee.

This care in craft is true across our whole supply chain, from carefully choosing our producers, working with small artisanal makers wherever we can and collaborating with them to utilise ingredients that make the most of the seasons, to innovation in our baking methods to retain the highest quality taste and nutritional content to pass onto our customers.

The in-house Creative Studio (within which this role will sit) was brought about to elevate our brand externally and better communicate the incredible stories GAIL’s has tell and we are on the hunt for a creative and organised Creative Producer to help bring our ideas to life.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Production:

Fully ‘own’ the production of the Creative Studio by:

  • Setting critical paths and communicating them clearly with key stakeholders. Creating clear and useable planning docs and updating them regularly.
  • Helping to brief creative partners such as designers, architects, writers, photographers and creative agencies. Set clear expectations and deliverables based on Studio direction.
  • Plan for and book photo and film shoots, coordinating photographers, props, stylists, venues etc. Own the pre-production phase completely, compiling shot lists, facilitating pre-production meetings, ensuring everyone has all the information they need to deliver on the day. Attend and facilitate all shoots to ensure their successful execution.
  • Managing the planning and execution of brand events, partnerships and activations, driving projects either independently or with external partners.
  • Building and cultivating a black book of creative contributors, agencies and industry experts.
  • Managing deadlines and deliverables with external contributors to ensure timely delivery of content.
  • Creating contributor agreements and negotiate licenses and rights.

Studio/Project Management:

  • Running our weekly status meetings and owning the report in collaboration with the Brand Manager to ensure all projects are running on time and troubleshooting if not.
  • Owning an annual production budget, ensuring costs are adequately allocated, tracking progress, managing up any overspend and dealing with all invoicing and payments for external partners.
  • Ensure that all creative content and assets are properly saved and organised.
  • Manage the Design Team’s workflow, working with them to organise their status spreadsheet and keeping track of overall projects and capacity; stepping in to help manage conversations and expectations on delivery and supporting with finding freelance design talent when needed.
  • Be the main point of contact for other team members about the status of creative projects.

AND YOU THE MISSING INGREDIENT

  • 5 years+ experience in similar role within a brand or creative agency.
  • Previous food/ FMCG/ retail/hospitality experience would be an advantage but not a mandate. However, love of food will get you a long way in this business!
  • Emotionally intelligent: able to read a room/situation and deal with it positively and intelligently.
  • Dependable, the centre of gravity on any project (and able to spin many plates at any time)
  • Confident in building strong internal and external relationships to ensure we’re able to make the best work we possibly can.
  • Organised and thorough, able to manage multiple projects in an effective and time efficient way.
  • A proactive attitude and a problem solver: both in the day to day and looking ahead to anticipate future obstacles on the horizon.

BENEFITS BAKED IN

  • Free food and drink when working
  • 50% off food and drink when not working
  • 33 days holiday
  • Pension Scheme
  • Discounts and Savings from high-street retailers and restaurants
  • 24 hour GP service
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Twice yearly pay review
  • Development programmes for you to RISE with GAIL’s
