This is a great opportunity to support our learners working both in the College Library and Learner Services. Working as part of a team you will be providing library support to learners and staff including supporting learners understanding of academic writing and research skills. You will need a “can do” attitude and will be expected to get involved in a variety of different services to support our learners.
You will also be tasked with promoting study skills services, ensuring the availability of up-to-date support materials, and managing the tracking and evaluation of these services to align with departmental targets and college priorities. Moreover, the role involves direct interaction with students and staff, managing learner behaviour, and contributing to community-building activities within the college. The officer may also handle some administrative duties and must be flexible to work additional hours during college events.
Applicants should have experience in a library, college or office environment and should have a keen interest in working with people. You should have an eye for detail and great communication and administrative skills.
In addition, you need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can engage with FE students to ensure that they reach their full potential.
This is a superb opportunity for a first-class applicant to work/teach in an Outstanding College. In turn we can offer you interesting and varied work with an excellent benefits package.
Benefits include: LGPS Pension, 32 days holiday pro rata, onsite gym, Employee Assistance Programme including Savings Centre offering retail discounts, Refectory and free on-site parking.
Farnborough College of Technology is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
Interviews will take place shortly after the published closing date or when a suitable number of appropriate applications have been received, so early submissions are encouraged. Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and we reserve the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.
Please note we are not accepting speculative applications from agencies.
