About the role: West London College is seeking a committed and skilled Creative Media Technician and Project Coordinator for External Media Productions to join our IT Digital & Creative team at our Ealing Green Campus.In this varied and exciting role, you will support the delivery of high-quality media production teaching and learning by maintaining and setting up creative classrooms, studios, and equipment. You will supervise and assist students and staff in the use of media production equipment, software and facilities, ensuring safe and effective operation.

Key responsibilities include:Providing first-line technical support for creative media production equipment and software.Managing and maintaining departmental equipment records and overseeing purchases as required.Supporting an effective studio and equipment booking system and coordinating loan, tracking and return of equipment.Delivering training to students and staff in the proper use of equipment and software such as Adobe Creative Suite.Coordinating the technical delivery of internal and external media production projects.Ensuring classroom and studio facilities are set up for teaching, events and external bookings.Providing occasional cover for classes and supervision of learners as required.This is a highly collaborative role that contributes to an outstanding learner experience and plays a key part in ensuring our media facilities and resources meet current industry and curriculum standards.

About you:You will bring a passion for creative media and technical excellence along with:Proven experience of working in media production environments with an ability to operate, maintain and train others on a wide range of equipment and software, including cameras, lighting, microphones, TV studio equipment and Adobe Creative Suite.A good understanding of media production processes from pre-production through to post-production.Excellent IT skills, including experience of both Windows and Mac OS environments.The ability to work independently, organise workloads efficiently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.A recognised qualification at HND/HNC level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area.GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.A commitment to delivering high standards, excellent customer service and collaborative working with students, colleagues and external stakeholders.A commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity in line with College policies.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with technical expertise and strong organisational skills to make a real impact supporting creative learning at West London College.
