Role Purpose:


As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the outdoor areas we manage are safe and clean. Ensuring they are maintained to the required standard and give a great first and last impression.


Key Accountabilities:


1. Provide grounds maintenance support & services
2. Deliver specialist grounds services; including attention to pest & tree hazards
3. Maintain knowledge / awareness of grounds / land legislative, standards &
technical requirements & developments
4. Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs
5. Form part of the on call rota during periods of inclement weather; supporting
site preparations & response to enable ongoing safe access / use of premises
6. Ensure robust application of health, safety & environmental procedures &
processes
7. Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the
required level
8. Oversee the conduct of contractors on site; monitoring the implementation &
performance of tasks allocated
9. Identify & ensure all key assets are available and appropriately maintained;
making recommendations on improvements additional requirements

• Ability to thrive as part of a team and work independently where appropriate

Experience & Qualifications:


Preferred training in the following:


o Strimming, chainsaw use, ride on mower use,
• Full driving licence
• Proven ability to solve problems
• Manual Handling awareness/risk appreciation
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable
• Ability to safely deploy equipment/processes
