Adventure Buddy Wanted, for one amazing little explorer…
A little about me
Hi! I’m nearly six years old, full of energy, curiosity, and giggles. I have ASD, PICA, and GDD—but more importantly, I have a huge love for life and play! You'll find me happiest splashing in water, digging in sand, or enjoying tickly games. I love sensory activities and soft play zones, and I’m obsessed Peppa Pig and I like to take my Peppa Pig book out with me! I don't speak yet, but I have a whole world to share—and I’m looking for a grown-up friend who understands, listens, and brings the fun. I can communicate with you by showing and taking.
Driver & PA Needed
I need a Personal Assistant who can drive me to exciting places where I can climb, play, and explore safely. I’ve gotten much better at staying in my car seat, especially with my Houdini strap, though child locks are still a must! You’ll need to stay alert and be ready to swoop in if I start munching something I shouldn't—because I sometimes do.
I wear pull-ups outside of home, just in case, but I’m learning! I do try to use the toilet with a little help. Patience, kindness, and quick feet are essential. I don’t sit still for long—I have places to be!
Hours & Pay
Term time: 4 hours/week, up to 10 miles
School holidays: 8 hours/week, up to 15 miles
£13.13 per hour
My family is flexible—we’ll work together to get the right fit (I like to be home by 18:00 to settle down for the evening)!
What I Need from You
Essential Traits:
• A quick and watchful eye (I'm fast and curious!)
• Knowledge of ASD and how to read my non-verbal cues
• Patience, warmth, and a playful spirit
• A calm approach when I feel overwhelmed
• Someone who values privacy and confidentiality
• Business car insurance for client transport
Bonus Points if You Have:
• Experience supporting children with ASD
• Skills in building emotional resilience
• A knack for turning everyday moments into magic
If you’re dependable, mature, adaptable, and ready to make a real difference in a little boy’s world—this might be the perfect adventure for you. Help me grow, laugh, and find joy beyond my home.
Let’s make playtime count.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
