The Role
As the Manufacturing Controller, you will be responsible for the effective management of stores and inventory in a manufacturing environment. Your key duties will include:
- Overseeing stock control and storekeeping, ensuring proper shelf life management
- Loading manufacturing cells with the necessary work packages to meet production schedules and delivery targets
- Packing and receiving/issuing of tools and equipment
- Updating computer records and maintaining accurate inventory data
- Kitting activities and loading/unloading of lorries
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for this Manufacturing Controller role will have:
- Proven experience in a stores or manufacturing control environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a flexible, adaptable mindset
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Excel
- Forklift truck licence and knowledge of Kanban or 2-bin systems (desirable)
