Summary
Our client, based between Barry and Cardiff, are currently recruiting for a Carpenter to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract with a strong chance of extension.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £20.92 on a CIS basis or via an Umbrella Company, and a company vehicle and fuel card will be provided after the first couple of days.
The ideal candidate will have a wealth of carpentry experience and have worked within Social Housing.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
•Carrying out a full range of carpentry repairs and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties
•Undertaking first and second fix carpentry including doors, skirting, architraves, floors, kitchens, and stud work
•Completing external works such as fencing repairs and installations, gates, sheds, and timber structures
•Working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality workmanship, ensuring a "right first time" approach
•Liaising professionally with tenants and colleagues to minimise disruption and deliver excellent customer service
•Ensuring all work complies with current health and safety legislation and internal risk assessments
Experience required:
• Experience required in Social Housing
• Experience working with customers within housing

• 37 hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm
