Summary
An HCA provides care and support to residents. Their duties include assisiting with personal and emotional care needs, helping at meal times with encouragement and patience, moving residents, monitoring vital signs and maintaining a clean and safe environment. An HCA plays a crucial role in ensuring residents comfort, safety and wellbeing. An HCA should be able to work as part of a team or have the ability to follow instruction and work alone. They need to recognise code of conduct and follow homes policies and procedures and to respect and uphold the discipline to deliver correct and proper care. An HCA needs to be reliable, honest ,kind, flexable, empathetic, influence others or take the lead, respect other individuals and have a positive attitude.
