Summary

In a period of exciting change, South Cumbria CAMHs are looking to recruit a full time CAMHS Practitioner, within a Band 5 to Band 6 Development post, to complement the wider multi-disciplinary CAMHs; a busy, friendly service providing a range of treatment approaches to children and young people 0 – 18yrs including CBT, EMDR, psychiatry, psychology and DBT. We also work in close collaboration with partner agencies. This is a development role ideal fornewly qualified (or new to CAMHS) registered practitioner.Once the post-holder has completed a minimum of 12 months clinical practice in CAMHS and met associated competencies there will be the opportunity to progress to a Band 6 SeniorCAMHS Practitioner role.
We work with children, young people and families up to the age of 18 years presenting with a wide range of moderate to severe, emotional and mental difficulties. Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties would be an advantage.
We are committed to ongoing continuous professional development of our staff and as a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in various training initiatives, including CYPIAPT.
The hours of work are 9am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday and as we have bases in Barrow and Kendal, travel across the South Cumbria locality will be required and therefore a car driver will be essential.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
